Hi everyone, butterflies are so popular and can be used for so many occasions that I couldn’t resist adding this lovely background stamp to our range, and of course I had to try it for myself. I love the way the card turned out particularly the colour scheme, which could easily be changed to suit different occasions.

Hand Made Emboss Resist Birthday Butterflies Card

Cut and fold a piece of white card to make a tent fold base 10.5cm x 15.7cm. Cut another piece of white card 10.5cm x 15.7cm, stamp and heat emboss this with white ink and embossing powder using the Butterfly background stamp.

Use a foam ink blending tool to blend Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber and Broken China Distress Oxide inks all over the butterfly background, other colours will develop as the inks blend together. When you have covered the whole background take a dry cloth and rub all over to remove ink from the embossed areas.

Cut a piece of white card to 10.5cm wide and 5.5cm tall, die cut the bottom edge to create an offset V shape with a stitched edge. Stamp the message in black ink and add co-ordinating enamel dots, use adhesive foam pads to fix this to the top of the card.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you like the card.
