Mother’s Day is almost here again which has given me chance to try out this new Framelits Ink Blooms stamp and die set from Sizzix. They look great combined with an intricate background die and finished off with some adhesive pearls.

To Make the Card

Start with an A6 white blank card and layer it with light beige card. Die cut the Poppy Frame background from pink card. Leave out the decorative inside to the oval so that you have an open area for your greeting. Adhere the die cut frame over the beige card.

From the Ink Blooms set, stamp both the small and large flower clusters on white card with black ink. Colour them with marker pens or pencils and die cut them both. There are two dies for the small flower cluster one cuts it with a small white border and the other cuts exactly on the stamp line. I used the one which makes a border so that it would match the large cluster.

Stamp the Mother’s Day greeting in the centre of the oval space using a co-ordinating ink colour. Attach the stamped flowers to the edge of the oval centre using adhesive foam pads and finish off with self adhesive pearls at the four corners and in the centre oval. I haven’t done it yet but the small flower cluster would look great stamped on the envelope flap, hopefully i will have time to do that before it goes in the post.

I am very happy with the way this card turned out. It seems to have a classic Mother’s Day feel to it, although I am sure it would work equally well with a birthday greeting instead. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it too. All the products used are linked below.
