Bunny in a Flower Pot Easter Card

Hi Everyone, this naughty bunny with his head in a flower pot made me smile as soon as I saw the die set, so it was my first choice for an Easter card this year.

Hi Everyone, this naughty bunny with his head in a flower pot made me smile as soon as I saw the die set, so it was my first choice for an Easter card this year. Like all the Cottage Cutz dies, it is a single piece die so all the parts are cut in one go. This means there are two ways that you can use it. You can cut all the pieces in white and then colour the parts with marker pens or pencils. Alternatively you can cut the pieces in different colours, this is a great way to use up small, left over pieces of card.

To Make the Card

Start with a 12.5cm square cream blank card. Cut a piece of cream coloured card 12cm square and dry emboss it with a polka dot design. Use an ink pod to colour the raised area of the embossing with Fired Brick ink. Use a foam ink blending tool to add ink to the edges of the square. Die cut an oval shape from cream card and ink the edges of that with the same Fired Brick ink.

Die cut the various pieces of the image in appropriate colours, lightly ink the edges of the plant pot, the rabbit’s feet and bottom with Black Soot ink to add depth to the image. Assemble and glue in place the die cut pieces and adhere to the oval shape, then adhere that to the centre of the card.

Cut a strip of cream card, stamp the Easter greeting in Fired Brick and ink the edges with the same ink. Adhere this across the bottom of the oval using foam pads to lift it.

This is a fun card for Easter, where it’s easy to change the colour scheme etc. to suit your own requirements. I love the fun flavour of this card, it’s certain to bring a smile to anyone’s face. Thank you for calling in, hope you like the card.
