Hi Everyone, here’s another way to use the Hexagon Canvas Die set. This time I used the hexagon dies to cut out the tops of the canvases and create 3D frames. I also used the Cosmos Flower die set for the first time and am very pleased with the results.
To Make the Card
Fold a piece of white A4 card in half to create a 21cm x 14.75cm card blank. Layer this with grey card, white card and marbled pattern paper. Use the Hexagon canvas die with the largest hexagon insert die to cut three canvases with the centre cut out. Fold and glue the flaps on these to form the 3D hexagonal shapes. With the largest insert die cut three shapes from grey card, then with the smaller insert die cut three pieces of marbled pattern paper. Die cut the letters Y, O and U from white card. Adhere the patterned hexagons on top of the grey ones and add one of the die cut letters to the centre of each. Use small foam pads to adhere each of these inside the hexagon frames.
Cut two of each size of cosmos flower using the solid petal dies, 3 from pink and 3 from lilac patterned paper. Now cut another two of each size using the cut out petal dies all from white card. Adhere the cut out petals over the coloured ones, then adhere them to each other, offset to create 3 flowers one in each size. Cut a selection of leaf stems also from white card.
Ink only the “Just For” part of the stamp and stamp onto white card, layer this onto grey card and add adhesive foam tape to the back. You now have all the elements of the card ready. Adhere the hexagon frames across the card front at descending heights. Arrange the flowers and glue them in place and add the greeting at the top centre of the card. Finally add a pink adhesive pearl to the centre of each flower to finish it off.
