Hi, here’s a warm and fuzzy Christmas card with a die cut coffee cup and a heart shaped gingerbread cookie. The embossed knitted background just adds to the cosy vibe! As I had chosen a heart shaped cookie and decorated the coffee cup with hearts, the “sending love” sentiment seemed to fit perfectly.

Hand made Christmas card with embossed knitted background and die cut coffee cup and cookie.

To Make The Card

Start with a 6″ x 6″ white blank card and trim it down to 14.5cm square, this makes it easier to measure the other layers. Add a layer of red card 14cm square, then cut a piece of white card 13.5cm square and emboss with the knitted design. Adhere this over the red layer. Die cut a stitched circle from red card, 8.5cm diameter and a slightly smaller one from white card. Glue the two circles together.

Stamp the coffee cup twice, once on white card and once on red. Die cut both cups, then trim the lid from the white one and glue it on to the red one. Cut the cup label from kraft card and add two red die cut hearts, each decorated with a natural adhesive pearl. Adhere this to the front of the coffee cup. Cut the heart shaped cookie from kraft and white card and glue the two pieces together.

Die cut stitched pine branches and mistletoe from different shades of green card. Add small natural pearls to the mistletoe for the berries. Glue the cookie to the die cut circle, then add the coffee cup using foam pads so that it can overlap the cookie. Place the circle in the centre of the card but don’t stick it down, arrange the foliage so that the stems are tucked under the circle, then remove the circle and glue the foliage in place. Now adhere the circle over it using adhesive foam pads.

Finally die cut the sentiment from red card and adhere to the bottom right hand corner of the card. Although the instructions seem a bit long winded it is not a difficult card to make and would be perfect to give to a coffee lover. Thank you for visiting, all the products used are linked below.
