Hi I really like the Twiggy Tree stamps from Woodware and thought the tall one was perfect for a slimline card. The crystals are new in stock and come in a range of lovely colours, they add the perfect amount of sparkle to an otherwise subtle card.

To Make The Card

Trim a white DL card blank to 9.7cm x 20.7cm so that the layers work with the Slimline Stitched Rectangle Frames die. Add a layer of turquoise card 9.3cm x 20.3cm, then cut white card with the biggest stitched rectangle frame die. Adhere this on top of the turquoise layer.

Cut a piece of watercolour card stock to 8cm x 16cm, ink with Distress Oxide inks making it darker towards the top and bottom. Cut the bottom edge with a stitched hillside die, then stamp the tree in white on the higher part of the hill. Once the stamped tree is completely dry, lay the falling snow stencil over the inked panel and use some stencil tape to hold it in place. Use white ink on a foam ink blending tool to add snow all around the tree. Remove the stencil and use kitchen paper to dab off any surplus ink.

Adhere the inked panel to the card front, add self adhesive crystals to the tree and stamp the sentiment below the tree in turquoise ink to finish off.

I am very pleased with this card, I like the colours and the slimline style. I hope you like it too. All the products used are linked below. Thank you for visiting, it would be great if you could leave a comment to let me know what you think.
