Hi here’s a lovely Christmas card, with all the classic elements and colours. The Stitched Winter Foliage die set has holly, poinsettias, pine branches and mistletoe all with stitching detail. A great way to add extra interest to your cards.

Hand made Christmas card with die cut stitched poinsettia, winter foliage and sentiment.

To Make The Card

Start with a white 5″ x 7″ blank card and trim it down to 12.5cm x 17.5cm, this makes it easer to measure the layers. Add a layer of red card 12cm x 17cm and cut a piece of white card 11.5cm x 16.5cm. Emboss the white card with the Dazzling Dots embossing folder. Adhere this over the red layer. Cut another rectangle of red card 12cm x 8cm and a rectangle of white card using the Inverted Scallop die 10.5cm x 6.5cm. Adhere these on top of one another in the centre of the card.

Cut two layers of each size of poinsettia from red card, curl the petals slightly and glue each pair together to make two sizes of flower. Cut two berry stems from red mirror card, two pine branches from dark green card and a holly sprig from light green card. Take a length of narrow gold metallic ribbon, loop it over and adhere it to the top left corner of the centre panel. Use Ultra high bond tape to hold it firmly in place. Arrange the other flowers and foliage over and around the ribbon, make sure the tape is hidden. Glue them all in place.

Die cut the Merry Christmas sentiment from gold glitter card and glue to the centre panel in the opposite corner to the flower arrangement. Add a gold pearl to the centre of each flower to finish it off.

I like all the various elements in this card and feel that they all came together very nicely. Thank you for reading, I hope you like it too. All the products used are linked below.
