Hi, here’s an easy card to make for Fathers Day, with all the shirt and accessory dies, part of one set called Pressed Shirt. The two sentiments are part of the set too, although it would be easy to convert this into a birthday card for a man, with a suitable sentiment from a different stamp or die set. The set is very versatile, you can ring the changes with the shirt and tie colours, for different effects. It also includes other accessories that are not used here such as mobile phone, sunglasses etc. to add to the scene.
To Make The Card
Die cut the shirt from white card twice, cut the tie from tartan paper, two pockets from white card and the other elements from gold mirror card. Adhere the tie to one of the shirts, then hand cut the collar section from the other shirt and glue it over the shirt and tie to give a more 3D look. Glue the pen to the inside of one of the pockets with the clip on the outside. Glue both pockets in position and add the small sentiment to the front of the other pocket. Die cut buttons from white card, add one to each collar wing and another below the tie. Finally add the You Are The Best sentiment to the bottom right hand corner of the shirt.
Take a 6″ x 6″ white blank card and trim it to 14.5cm square. Cut gold mirror card to 14cm square and layer onto the card. Use a 13.5cm square die with small holes decoration to cut a piece of blue card and adhere this over the gold layer. Adhere the shirt to the blue layer at a slight angle and add gold adhesive gems to two of the corners.
