Mothers Day Card with Lace and Flowers

Following on from my previous two posts I am still using the Dovecraft Garden Party paper pad to make Mothers Day cards. I liked the design of the previous card but wanted to make something a bit more decorative as this one is going to my Mother in Law 😉
The card blank is a 14 x 14cm square, I cut a piece of cream card to be slightly narrower than and just under half the height of the card blank and cut a piece of patterned paper the same size of the card blank. I joined the two pieces together, inked the edges and covered the join with a piece of green lace.

The topper is three layered die cut shapes mounted on top of each other with the edges inked and the Mothers Day greeting stamped in the middle. The flower arrangement in the corner is a combination of die cut flower and leaves, a couple of mulberry roses and a green satin ribbon. I made the die cut flower from pink paper with inked edges and an adhesive pearl in the centre, the wire stems of the mulberry roses were twisted round a wooden barbecue skewer to create spirals.
Materials used:
Seems like a long list of materials but it didn’t take that long to make, it’s in the mail now hope Mum in Law likes it.
Thanks for dropping in, your comments are always appreciated.
