Butterfly Fold Out Card for Mothers Day

Here is the card folded up and laying flat.

Here it is standing up, you can just see the corner of the die cut card shape that I put on the back panel to write your message on, it’s the same shape as the one on the front but slightly bigger.

I used one of the fold out card blanks as mentioned above, the pack contains four different ones which gives you a bit of variety.

I cut pieces of pink Colorcore card stock to fit the front and back panels, I traced the curved edge from the card blank to get the right shape for the front panel and trimmed them to be slightly smaller than the panels they were going on. I did the same with patterned paper for the middle two panels.

I embossed the Colorcore card and sanded the raised areas gently to reveal the lighter pink color underneath, I love the effect of this card stock. All the paper pieces were glued onto the appropriate panels.

I die cut eight little butterflies and added a self adhesive pearl to the body of each one and adhered these along the curved edges of the card as shown.

I die cut two fancy rectangles from white card and inked the edges with pink ink. The greeting is stamped in silver onto the smaller of the two rectangles and adhered to the front panel with a small blue paper flower. I also inked the edges of the larger rectangle and adhered that to the middle of the back panel so that it can’t be seen when the card is closed. This can be used to write your message. The finished card measures 10.8 x 14cm so will fit into a standard C6 envelope. (envelopes are not included with the card blanks).
