Hi Everyone, I just can’t resist this large snowflake die, there are so many different ways to use it. I wanted to go for a very simple look for this one, I started out with a plain white die cut snowflake on the kraft background and the message stamped in white ink, but it just didn’t seem right so I heat embossed the snowflake with White Twinkle embossing powder which not only added some sparkle but also some dimension to the snowflake. I also heat embossed the greeting which made it much clearer. I am very happy with the end result even though it took a couple of tries to get there.

Hand made Christmas card with die cut, heat embossed snowflake on a kraft background
Start with a 12cm square kraft card blank, layer this with white and kraft card.
Die cut a large snowflake from white card, gently press all the areas of the snowflake into a clear, embossing ink pad, sprinkle embossing powder all over the snowflake, shake off the excess and heat with a heat gun until the powder has melted and created a sparkly enamelled effect.
Stamp the greeting across the bottom of the card with clear embossing ink, heat emboss with opaque white.
Glue the snowflake to the front of the card and add an adhesive pearl to the centre of it.
It’s a shame the photo doesn’t show you how sparkly the snowflake is, it’s a perfect contrast to the kraft background. I hope you like this one, thank you for visiting.
