Hi Everyone, I decided to make this wedding card as a stepper card, I am often so concerned about the colour scheme etc. that I completely forget about different ways to fold cards! I have given all the dimensions etc. below but these are just a guide and you can adjust them to suit your own design.

Hand made wedding stepper card in silver and pink with wedding cake embellishment.

As there are several elements to this card I have split the instructions down into sections.
Card Base – Cut two  pieces of white card 13 x 26cm, score one piece down the centre and fold to make a standard card blank. Take the second piece and score at 4cm, 8cm, 14cm and 20cm, the score lines should alternate between mountain and valley folds starting with a mountain fold at 4cm. Glue the last piece of the step folded card behind the front panel of the card blank to join the two together and create one single card.
Wedding Cake Embellishment – To make the wedding cake embellishment cut a large cake base and top, and a small cake base and top from white card, cut a large piece of icing from silver card, cut two small hearts from white card. Emboss the large cake base with the diagonal design, make sure you do this after it has been cut or the design will be flattened when you run it through the die cutting machine.
Assemble the cake by gluing the tops to the bases of both cakes, then the smaller cake on top of the large one. Glue the silver icing piece underneath the large cake so that it shows about .5cm below the cake to look like a silver plate, you will need to trim a tiny bit off each side once you have it glued in position. Glue the to hearts together slightly overlapping and fix these to the centre of the top cake. Decorate the cake and the hearts with adhesive crystals.
Cut a 9 x 9cm square of pink card and stamp all over with embossing ink to create a subtle background design. Layer this on silver card and glue the wedding cake to the centre.
Here’s a close up of the cake and the stamped background.

Sentiments and Heart Embellishment – both sentiments are stamped in dark grey on pink card and layered on silver card, again with adhesive crystal decorations. For the heart, cut two hearts, a larger one in silver and smaller in pink, glue the pink one to the silver and add a crystal to the centre.

Assemble the card – Layer each front facing panel of the card with pink card and striped paper and adhere the wedding cake to the centre of the main panel. Adhere the longer sentiment at a slight angle to the centre panel so that it stands up above the edge of the panel, adhere the heart next to it also at an angle. Finally add the Congratulations strip to the front panel.

And there you have it, I love the colour scheme and all the crystals, I think it is suitably luxurious for such an important occasion. I hope you like it too. All supplies are linked below.
Thanks for calling in.
