Hi Everyone, I don’t think I have ever made a brown and gold Christmas card before but having made this one I think it works very well.

Hand made Christmas card with triangular Christmas trees and a gold star wreath
I started with a 12.5cm square white blank card and layered it with kraft card and a piece of subtly patterned paper. I die cut the star wreath from gold mirror card and was careful to save the stars that are cut out.
For the Christmas trees I die cut them, one from brown card and one from kraft card, using the Three Christmas Trees die outline shape. I then cut the bottom part off to make them slightly smaller and remove the trunk and decorated them with gold adhesive metal gems and two sizes of natural self adhesive pearls.
To assemble the card I glued the star wreath to the right side of the card with the brown tree over it. I used 1mm foam pads to adhere the kraft tree so that it sits above the brown tree and the wreath and added the cut out stars either side of the wreath. I hand cut a strip of kraft card and trimmed the ends diagonally to mirror the shape of the Christmas trees and added a gold peel off Season’s Greetings message. This too was attached with adhesive foam pads.
I am delighted with this card, I love the colours and the simple design, with a little bit of shine from the mirror card and adhesive pearls and gems. Thank you for calling in, I hope you like it too, all the products that I used are linked below.
