Hi Everyone, here’s a classic Christmas shaker card with a winter scene and lots of glittery snow. With so much going on inside the shaker dome, little else is needed on the outside of the card, just a gold stamped greeting.

Hand made Christmas shaker card with a snow filled winter scene in gold and white
The blank card is a 6 x 6 inch square and this is layered with gold mirror card. I cut a piece of white card bigger than the size of the shaker dome and marked on it where the edge of the shaker dome would come to so that I knew where the edges of my winter scene would be. I die cut two hillsides, a church and several Christmas trees from white card and two more Christmas trees from matt gold card. Using a Quickie Glue Pen I put lines of ultra fine glitter on the edges and fronts of the hillsides, all over the white Christmas trees and along the edges of the church roof. I also cut some small pieces of the matt gold card to stick behind the windows of the church.
I put the scene together with the hillsides overlapping and the Christmas trees in groups. I cut the bottoms off two of the Christmas trees to put on the hillside behind the church to make them look further away.
Once the scene was complete I cut a piece of white card slightly smaller than the gold mirror card layer, I die cut a circular hole, the same size as the shaker dome from the centre of it. I poured some chunky Diamond Sparkles glitter into the middle of the scene and glued the shaker dome over it. At this point it is important to make sure that the shaker dome is properly glued down all the way round to avoid the glitter falling out when you stand the card up. I stamped the greeting in gold ink at the bottom of the white card, and attached it over the shaker dome using foam tape to lift it up slightly and allow room for the rim of the shaker dome.
That’s all there is to it! Of course you can create any kind of scene or picture inside your shaker dome but I love the simplicity of the gold and white with just the church and the Christmas trees. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it too, all the products are linked below.
