The Bethlehem/Arab Village die made me think of Christmas cards with the village cut in black card to create a silhouette, with Santa and his reindeer flying overhead. My next thought was that the Arab village represented a foreign place so it would be a great subject for a card with the Across the Miles sentiment. I chose a kraft and gold colour scheme to go with the black of the silhouette which works really well.

To Make the Card

I used an A6 white card blank, layered with gold mirror card and then kraft card. I also used kraft card to cut the curved “sand dunes” that the village sits in.

The Arabic Village die cuts a longer shape, but I trimmed it down to fit the curve of the dunes. Cut the Star Wreath from gold mirror card and use the small stars that it cuts out for additional decoration.

I die cut the star from kraft card, and stamped the greeting, which is from a collection of Christmas sentiment stamps, in Black Soot Distress Oxide ink. I used 1mm adhesive foam pads to attach the star and lift it above the wreath.

The Merry Christmas sentiment at the bottom of the card is a peel off, with the same shiny, gold finish as the mirror card.

It’s not a difficult card to make, but is quite unusual, I hope you like it. Thank you for visiting, all the products are linked below.
