Hi There, with only 3 weeks until Valentines Day I thought I had better get started on some Valentine cards. What better way to do that than with the Birch Press Adora layering die. The die set creates three layers which you can cut in different colours to create stunning effects. Each layer is cut into three parts so you can choose to use just some, or all of the parts. For this card I only used the outer circle, so that I could put part of the sentiment in the centre.

Hand made Valentine card using the Birch Press Adora layering die set.

To Make the Card

Start with a 12.5cm square white blank card and layer it with pink card, then light brown card. Cut the three layers of the Adorna die set. Layer A is cut from gold mirror card, layer B from the same pink card that was used for the layering and layer C from dark pink card.

When you cut the layers you will be left with lots of heart shapes in different colours and sizes, be sure to keep these to use for decoration. Use a fine tip glue applicator to stick the three layers together and then adhere them to the centre of the card.

Take a gold and pink heart and glue them together in the top left corner of the card. Add the peel off sentiment “With Love” inside the centre circle and the “for you” in the bottom right corner of the card with a small pink heart underneath.

The Birch Press die sets are quite expensive but when you use them on your cards you won’t need much else, plus they create their own embellishments too! I am really happy with this card, I like the colours and the shine that the gold mirror card brings. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like the card, all the products are linked below.
