Hi Everyone, it’s been a while since my last post, having taken some time off to spend with family over the holiday period. My first card of the new year is a birthday stepper card with a stamped fox. I wanted to use this cute fox stamp, and to add some interest decided to make a stepper card. This is a single step card so the base is easy to make.

To Make the Card

Cut a piece of white card 12cm x 28cm, score down the centre and fold it. Then cut another piece 12cm x 13cm, score this at 4cm and 8cm one mountain and one valley fold. This will create the “step” leaving a flap of card to attach it by gluing it to the back of the front panel of the main card.

The white card that the fox is stamped on and the orange card behind it are cut using two dies from the Spellbinders Fancy Edged Rectangles die set. Stamp the fox on to the white card, then colour with marker pens or pencils. Layer the white card onto the orange card, then on to a rectangle of matt gold card. Finally fix all the layers on to the card base.

Cut layers of gold, orange and white card to fit the front of the step and glue them in place. Stick a copper coloured Happy Birthday peel off in the centre.

Die cut several small flowers and stems from green and peach card and glue in place beside the fox. Adding some of the flower heads around the peel off greeting.

There you have it! I love this fox stamp with his neat feet and bushy tail. The copper coloured peel off greeting works perfectly with this colour scheme too. All the products are linked below, hope you like it. Thanks for visiting.
