Hi Everyone, I love this set of bunny rabbit dies, there is so much you can do with them, not just for Easter but for all sorts of occasions. I wanted to make a card with a Springtime feel to it that could be used for birthdays as well as Easter. The Springtime border seemed to be the perfect place for those bunnies to play.

Hand made Easter card with die cut rabbits and flower border.

To Make the Card

Start with a white 12.5cm square blank card, layer it with yellow card. Cut a piece of white card 11.5cm square and dry emboss it with a butterfly design. Die cut two rabbits from white card and colour with marker pens or pencils. Die cut the Springtime border and trim off about a third of the length and most of the solid strip at the bottom. Die cut an assortment of tiny flower heads. Adhere the grassy border to the bottom of the card, glue the rabbits in place amongst the grass stems and glue the flowers in place.

For the butterflies, sprinkle a small amount of Straw Yellow Pixie Powder onto a piece of watercolour card and spritz with water. Dry with a heat gun and die cut two butterflies from it. Stamp the Easter Greetings message on white card, trim to size and die cut a scalloped edge at the bottom. Cut a piece of yellow card slightly bigger and die cut a scalloped edge at the bottom. Glue the white card over the yellow and adhere to the top of the card. Add a small die cut flower to decorate the greeting.

I like the spring colours in this card, and of course the rabbits. Using the Pixie Powder to make the butterflies variegates the colour and gives them a lovely sheen. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like the card. Please leave a comment if you have a moment to spare.
