Hi Everyone, this card uses the new Winter Foliage die set from Sizzix. This lovely set cuts holly leaves, pine branches, mistletoe and berry stems. The different types of leaves and branches work well together, but can also be used separately to add accents to other design elements. For this card I used all of them to create a sort of foliage bouquet.

To Make the Card

Start with a cream 5″ x 7″ blank card, layer this with cream pearlescent card, use foam tape for the layer to lift it up from the card base. Cut a strip of patterned paper approx. 11.5cm x 6cm and adhere it across the centre of the card. Die cut a stitched edge circle from Kraft card, then ink the edges with Antique Linen to soften them a little. Adhere this to the centre of the card over the patterned paper.

Cut a selection of leaves and branches from the Winter Foliage die set. Use different shades of green for the different types of foliage and a colour that co-ordinates with the patterned paper for the berry stems. Ink the edges of all the foliage with gold ink, and do the same for the holly and mistletoe berries. Arrange the foliage so that it fans out around the left side of the die cut circle.

Die cut a label from cream card, stamp the greeting and heat emboss with gold, ink the edges of this with Antique Linen. Adhere the label so that it covers the ends of the foliage stems, putting holly berries over the left hand end. Colour a self adhesive pearl with a gold Sharpie pen and adhere this to the other end of the label.

I love all this winter foliage, it is perfect for Christmas cards, you can be sure I will be using it again in future. I. hope you like the card, please leave a comment if you have a spare minute. Thank you for visiting.
