Hi Everyone, here’s birthday card that uses lots of new products, including the Pansy Trio Stampcut. This is a completely new concept, a cutting die that has a special coating so that it will hold ink, so you can stamp and cut with one pass through your die cutting machine. I have been keen to try these out and I wasn’t disappointed.

Hand made birthday card with die cut frame and apertures and stampcut pansies.

The stitched frames and aperture dies are part of a new slimline collection from Creative Expressions, designed to fit perfectly on a DL card blank.

To Make the Card

Start with a white DL card blank, and layer it with silver card. Die cut a stitched rectangle from lilac card, then die cut the stitched rectangle apertures from white card. Adhere these in layers onto the card front.

Ink up the Pansy die with black ink, I used Memento Tuxedo Black so that it wouldn’t bleed when I used alcohol markers to colour it in. Place the die face down on white card and run it through the die cutting machine. Repeat this two more times so that you have three clusters of pansies.

Colour the pansies with marker pens, pencils or paints. Adhere two full clusters to the top left and bottom right apertures. Fussy cut a single pansy from the third cluster. Die cut a Happy Birthday sentiment from silver card and adhere it inside the middle aperture. Glue the single pansy in place just above it. Add two groups of clear crystals to the top and bottom apertures.

I am very pleased with the finished card and like the tall slim shape for a change. I hope you like it too, thank you for visiting, all supplies are linked below.
