Hi everyone, here’s a card to wish someone good luck in their new home using a lovely bird house die set. The background is inked and the sentiment is stamped directly on to it. I chose red trim for the bird house but of course you can use any colour you like.

To Make the Card

Start with a white A6 blank card and layer it with kraft card. Cut a piece of white card 9.8cm x 13.9cm, ink the background to create hills and sky, using a hand cut mask for the wavy line of hills. Die cut the bird house with a heart shape and a stand from cream coloured card. Ink over the bird house and stand lightly, so that the wood grain effect on the bird house shows up. Cut a roof trim and picket fence from red card and glue onto the bird house. Adhere the bird house and stand to the inked background. Use a red marker pen to colour the cut out heart and glue it back into the heart shaped space.

Die cut one of each of the birds so that they can face each other. Use a fine black pen to mark an eye on each one and rub a tiny bit of white ink onto their tummies. Glue the two birds to the top of the fence on the bird house so that they are just underneath the heart. Die cut two white clouds, glue one to the background sky and use foam pads to adhere the other one overlapping it. Finally stamp the greeting in the bottom right hand corner.

A cute birdhouse card, and a great way to welcome someone to their new home. I hope you like it, thank you for dropping in. All the products used are linked below.
