Hi, now that weddings are going ahead normally, I thought I would make a wedding card. The card is actually nothing like I originally planned it would be! Funny how that happens sometimes. Anyway the end result is a wedding card in classic colours, full of classic elements.

Hand made wedding card with stamped damask background, die cut hearts and Mr & Mrs wording

To Make The Card

Start with a white 6″ x 6″ blank card and trim it down to 14cm square. I do this to make the measuring of the layers much easier. Add a layer of matt silver card, the cut a piece of white card, 13cm square. Ink up the Damask background stamp with silver ink and press the white card onto it. Make sure to apply pressure all over the card so there are no gaps in the design. Once the ink is dry adhere the stamped panel to the card. Die cut a solid heart with a lacy border from matt silver card and adhere it to the centre of the card.

Cut two small hearts from white card and adhere these to the silver heart so that they overlap slightly. Die cut the Mr & Mrs from silver card and glue to the white hearts. Stamp the congratulations boxed sentiment in silver, on to a strip of white card. Again when the ink is dry use thin foam pads to adhere it to the silver heart, below the small hearts.

Finish off with tiny crystals on the white hearts and some bigger ones on the silver heart. There is nothing difficult about this card, it is all standard stamping and die cutting but I think the end result is very eye-catching. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it too.
