Hi I got out an old favourite die set for this card, the lovely Geo Floral Frames. All the dies used on this card are from that one set which makes it very cost effective.

Hi I got out an old favourite die set for this card, the lovely Geo Floral Frames. All the dies used on this card are from that one set which makes it very cost effective. It’s quite hard to tell from the photo but the thin fames and the bottom layer are silver mirror card which looks fabulous in real life.

A hand made birthday card with stencilled background and die cut frames, flowers and foliage.

To Make The Card

Start with a white A6 blank card, and layer it with silver mirror card. Cut a piece of white card 9.75cm x 14cm. Tape the stencil over the white card and apply pink ink. Leave some areas un-inked, then ink lightly then more heavily towards the centre to create a fade out effect. Adhere the stencilled panel over the silver layer. Die cut the frames from silver mirror card, you will need two of the larger rectangle and one of the hexagon. Arrange the frames on top of each other and slightly offset, then glue in position.

Die cut a selection of flowers in three shades of pink, layer the flowers in twos and glue them together with the petals offset. Make one large and two of the smaller flowers, die cut and add a small flower centre to each one. Now cut a selection of foliage stems in different shades of green, arrange the foliage and flowers to the bottom left and top right hand areas of the frames. I find it helpful to take a photo of the arrangement once I am happy with it, then use it as a reference when I glue it all in place. Once all the flowers and leaves are fixed, stamp the sentiment on a strip of white card with light grey ink. Adhere the sentiment strip so that it tucks under the flowers slightly. Use thin foam pads at the right hand end and glue at the left so that it is level.

A very pretty card and quite unusual with the arrangement of frames. Thank you for stopping by, I hope you like it. All the products are linked below if you would like to try it for yourself.
