Hi here’s another birthday card designed for a male recipient. The Woodgrain 3D embossing folder gives a lovely deep impression, which shows up well with the inked colours. I probably wouldn’t put flowers on a card for a man but I think leaves are OK for decoration and work well alongside the woodgrain background.

To Make The Card

Start with a white A6 blank card and add a layer of brown card. Cut a piece of white card, 9.75cm x 14cm ink this all over with brown, green and turquoise distress oxide ink. Alternate and blend the colours until you are happy with it’s appearance. Emboss the inked panel with the woodgrain embossing folder, and adhere to the card front.

Die cut the word Wishes from matt gold card, and its background from turquoise card. Glue them together. Stamp the word Birthday on brown card and heat emboss with gold embossing powder. Die cut the Birthday word to a small strip.

Cut the leafy sprig from green card and trim three leaves from it. Lightly ink around the edges of the leaves with brown ink and add some light touches of turquoise.

Glue the Wishes in place across the card about a third of the way up and over to the left side. Use 1mm foam pads to adhere the brown Birthday strip above the Wishes and to the left side of the card. Glue two of the leaves tucked under the Birthday strip and add the third below the tail of the Wishes.

There you have it, a great card for a man, that could easily be adapted for a woman by changing the colours. Thank you for reading, I hope you like the card. If you want to try it for yourself, all the product details are linked below.
