Hi, here’s another card that would work well for a male recipient. The intended recipient prefers white chocolate which is why I didn’t make it in brown. There are lots of ways you could vary this card to suit different recipients, change the colour scheme, change the chocolate colour, have silver foil instead of gold etc.
To Make The Card
I used a cream coloured A6 card blank for this one as it matched the colour of the chocolate. Add a layer of dark blue card and a layer of green and white striped paper to the card blank. Die cut the chocolate from cream card, the wrapper from dark blue card and the foil from gold mirror card. Fold the flaps of the wrapper around the chocolate and fix in place with double sided tape. Glue the foil across the top edge of the wrapper. Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment in gold ink on a strip of light blue card and glue to the front of the chocolate bar wrapper.
Stamp the second sentiment, again in gold ink on a die cut circle of light blue card. Cut a slightly bigger circle of dark blue card with a striped edge circle die. Glue the stamped circle over the striped circle. Glue the circle sentiment in the top right hand area of the card, then use adhesive foam pads to adhere the chocolate bar, at an angle and slightly overlapping the circle sentiment. As this card is for a male recipient I didn’t want too much fuss or bling, so I added two groups of enamel dots in the same shade of green as the striped paper, to the top left and bottom right corners.
I am pleased with the card, the chocolate bar die set makes the job easy. I think the colour scheme is good for a man, and the circle sentiment goes with the chocolate theme. I hope you like it too, thank you for visiting. All the products used are listed below.
