As soon as I saw this maple leaf die cutter set it made me think of autumn so I included it in our range of new autumn themed products, and I couldn’t wait to try it out. I used it along with the Acorns paper from the latest range of free papers on the website.

The card is very quick and easy to make, cut the patterned paper to cover the front of the card, cut a rectangle of a coordinating colour card and mat that with card or paper of another coordinating colour; here I used Kraft paper, the colour matched the beige coloured acorns and I thought the rustic style of the paper worked well with the autumn leaf look. I die cut three leaves in three different colours, the cutting die also embossed the veins on the leaves but they didn’t show up very well on the lighter colours so I went over them with a felt pen. I made a bow out of orange paper cord, this is not available on the website yet but will be added in the next couple of weeks. Finally I stamped the greeting using a new inkpad colour called Merlot.
Thanks for visiting!
