Hi Everyone, I wanted to go for a very simple colour scheme for this card and love the look of Kraft and white so it was an easy choice. I love these little die cut houses and trees, they are so cute!

die cut village hand made Christmas card

Start with a Kraft A6 card blank, cut a piece of Snowfall Acetate to cover two thirds of the card and adhere to the top portion of the card. The bottom part of the acetate will be covered by the snow and houses so you can put plenty of glue on it. Put a couple of small spots of glue in the top corners of the acetate, make sure you use a glue that dries clear so that it doesn’t show through the acetate.

Use a curved stitch border die to cut different sized panels of white card to form the snowy hills and die cut three houses, a church, three Christmas trees, a lamp post and some stars from Smooth White Card. Attach the snowy hills to the card, then add the houses and church etc. tucking them just under the snow hills to give the effect of drifted snow.

To finish glue the stars in place on the acetate and add a small peel off greeting to the bottom of the card.

I was very tempted to add some kind of sparkle to this card but in the end I am glad that I didn’t. Thanks for reading, I hope you like it, please leave a comment to let me know what you think.
