Hi Everyone, another Christmas card, this time with a non traditional colour scheme. I think the colours are really pretty with the white die cut shapes, I am just a bit disappointed that the stamping and embossing on the background doesn’t show up as well as I expected. I heat embossed it with clear crystal embossing powder which has added a little bit of sparkle but it’s quite hard to see the stamped snowflakes. Ah well nothing ventured……

Die cut Christmas card with inked, stamped and heat embossed background in non traditional colours.
This is a slightly smaller card than I usually make but I wanted the die cut frame to come right to the edge of the card, so start by trimming an A6 white card blank to 10 x 13.5cm.
Cut a piece of white card to 9.5 x 13cm, use a foam ink blending tool to colour the card with Distress Oxide inks, here I have used, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserves. Use a clear ink pad to stamp the background design onto the inked card and heat emboss with crystal clear embossing powder. Adhere to the card front.
Die cut both the frame and the inner shape with the baubles from white card stock, cut both pieces out twice and glue them on top of one another to add dimension,  then adhere to the card front.
Cut out the greeting from the backing sheet and adhere to the card using adhesive foam pads.
If I make this card again, I would choose a different background stamp to use, one with a bolder design so that the stamping and embossing shows up better, other than that I am very happy with it. I hope you like it too. Thank you for reading. All supplies are linked below.
