Hi Everyone, here’s another card using one of the Tonic Studios Dot and Drop dies, called Bluebell Bloom. As with my earlier post using the Arching Twirls die, the shape is cut out of the card along with dotted lines for you to position the Nuvo Drops, to achieve the perfectly shaped swirls and flourishes.

Hand made card using Bluebell Bloom Dot and Drop Die and Nuvo Drops
Start with a white A6 blank card and envelope, layer this with bright green, dark blue and white card, but don’ t stick the white card down. Position the Bluebell Bloom die in the centre of the piece of white card and run it through the die cutting machine. Carefully put a Nuvo Drop pearl on each dot that is marked on the card. Set this aside to dry for about 24 hours.
Once the Nuvo Drop pearls are dry, ink all around the edge of the white card with blue ink, bringing it in to the white space to soften it and add some colour to the corners. Adhere blue card behind the cut out bluebell flower heads and bright green card behind the cut out leaves and stems, then adhere the whole thing to the card front.
Stamp the greeting in dark blue ink on white card, ink all around the greeting with blue ink and adhere in the bottom right hand corner using foam pads. The cutaway design and Nuvo Drop pearls add so much texture and dimension to the card that very little else is needed, and although there is the waiting time for the Nuvo Drops to dry the rest of the card doesn’t take very long to complete.
That’s the last card of my current adventure into Nuvo Drops and the different ways you can use them. I have enjoyed trying out one or two different techniques with them and am happy with the results. I hope you like this card, please leave a comment if you have a spare minute, I would love to hear from you. All supplies are linked below.
Thank you for visiting.
