Hi Everyone, another Mother’s Day card for you, using the oddly named Festive Frames – Eve die set which has nothing at all to do with Christmas on it !! Anyway it’s a fab set of 6 dies that cut various shapes, which can be combined as I have done here or used separately.

Hand made Mothers Day card with die cut doily background, flowers and leaves cluster and stamped greeting

To Make The Card

Start with a 6 x 6 square white card, layer it with cream pearlescent card and peach card. Die cut the doily shapes from the same cream pearlescent card and adhere to the card front using a fine tip glue applicator.

Die cut leaves from cream pearlescent card and leaf and berry stems from peach card and adhere to the left side of the doily. Leave the ends of the leaves unglued so that they lift a little and add some extra dimension. Take three red paper roses, wind the wire stems round a bamboo skewer or thin pencil to create the spirals and trim most of the stem off a cluster of cream coloured, mini grape hyacinths. Glue the hyacinths on top of the leaves and the paper roses, arranged in a triangle over the stem of the hyacinth.

Cut a strip of cream card (I didn’t use the pearlescent card for this as it is quite difficult to stamp on) and stamp the Mothers Day greeting in Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide ink. Once the ink is dry add a piece of ultra high bond double sided tape to each end of the strip. Fix one end just under the flowers and the other at the edge of the card, curving the strip upwards.

All the supplies used are linked below, thank you for visiting, I hope you like the card.
