Hi Everyone, for this Mothers Day card I chose a slightly unusual colour scheme, inspired by the patterned paper taken from the Paper Flowers 6 x 6 pad. I also experimented with painting with Distress Oxides using a water tank brush pen, I like the soft look that the Distress Oxides give. The gold heat embossing adds a bit of glamour to the appearance. For me it’s a very pleasing result, I hope you like it too. All the supplies are linked at the bottom.

Hand made mothers day card with stamped, inked and die cut flowers
Start with a white A6 card blank and layer this with light turquoise card and patterned paper. Die cut a rectangle of white card with a stitched edge design and ink around the edges with Crushed Olive Distress Oxide ink. Stamp the Happy Mothers Day greeting and heat emboss with gold embossing powder, adhere the rectangle to the card front.
Stamp the flowers twice with a clear embossing pad, on white card and heat emboss with gold embossing powder. Using a craft mat, smoosh some of each of the ink colours, then with a water tank brush pen pick up tiny amounts of the ink and “paint” the flowers and leaves.
Die cut the painted flowers and using 1mm foam pads adhere one across the bottom left corner of the die cut rectangle. Cut the smaller flowers off the second die cut leaving a large flower and the attached leaves and again with 1mm foam pads adhere this to the top right corner of the die cut rectangle.
