Hi Everyone, Just a quick post today to show this card using the new Daisy Fairy Edger die from Creative Expressions. I really like these Paper Cuts dies and usually cut them in white on an inked background so wanted to do something different for this one. I have had this marbled paper pad for a while and every so often it just seems to be the perfect thing to use,  I wanted a patterned paper to go underneath the die cut shape, but nothing too busy as the die cut has lots of detail, this marbled look just fitted the bill perfectly. Again because there is lots of detail in the die cut I kept the rest of the card very simple.

Hand made birthday card with daisy fairy edger die and marbled paper background
The Daisy Fairy Edger die is perfectly sized to fit a 5 x 7 inch blank card, so that’s what I used. I cut the yellow marbled paper to exactly cover the front of the card blank.
I die cut the fairy edger from matt gold card, it’s quite a yellowish gold so works perfectly with the yellow marbled paper. Once this was adhered to the left side of the card I carefully pulled up the fairy’s and butterfly’s wings to add dimension.
The Birthday Wishes greeting is from a sheet of die cut birthday greetings, I glued it to some pale yellow paper which I fussy cut to follow the curves of the die cut. This is adhered using 1mm adhesive foam pads.
I like the way this turned out, next time I use this die I want to try reversing it by colouring in the die cut and putting it over a plain background. I hope you like it too. All supplies are linked below.
