Black Unicorn on Inked and Silhouette Stamped Background

Hi Everyone, here’s a card, using a fab little unicorn die cutter with an atmospheric night time scene. The silhouette stamped images look great against the inked background. I am very pleased with the way it turned out and hope you like it too. If you have a minute it would be great to hear your comments at the bottom of the page.
Thanks Debbie x

Start with an A6 white blank card, cut a piece of white card slightly smaller than the card blank. Die cut a circle from a sheet of Stamping Mask Sheet and cut another piece shaped like a hillside. Peel the backing off the mask sheet and stick the hillside one to the bottom right corner of the piece of card and the circle in the centre about two thirds of the way up to be your moon.

Use a foam ink blending tool to create your night sky with Distress inks, (colours are listed below), leaving the colour lighter near the moon and the top of the hillside. When you are happy with the ink blending dip a small paintbrush in water and flick it all over the card, this will “move” small patches of the distress ink leaving them lighter to add some texture to the background. Peel off the masking sheet shapes and colour the hillside with black ink, applying it with a dry baby wipe over the end of your finger. Leave the top parts of the hillside a little bit lighter to look as though light from the moon is shining on it.

Using black ink stamp foliage at the bottom of the card next to the hillside and up around the moon leaving a space for your unicorn, stamp two small fairies flying amongst the foliage. Attach this inked panel to the card front using double sided tape.

Die cut a unicorn from black card and attach to the card with 1mm foam pads, standing on the hillside and slightly overlapping the moon. Stamp the first part of the message in white ink on a narrow strip of black card and attach to the top of the card above the moon, again with adhesive foam pads. Stamp the second part of the message in black ink inside the card.
