Hi Everyone, the Celestial Stars embossing folder is quite unusual as it also comes with a cutting die. The die cuts a section of the embossing folder design, which creates a lovely effect.

Joy, winter foliage and embossed background.

To Make the Card

Start with a 6″ x 6″ white blank card, and layer it with gold mirror card and red card. Cut another layer from white card and emboss this with the Celestial Stars embossing folder. Adhere all the layers to the card blank. Use the Celestial Stars die to cut a section from gold mirror card, trim the length to fit the card and adhere over the matching section of embossing.

Cut two stitched circles, one from red card and a slightly smaller one from white. Adhere these on top of each other slightly offset. Die cut the word Joy from gold mirror card, adhere this to the white circle but leave the loops of the J and Y unglued. Adhere this to the card front.

Cut a selection of winter foliage from light and dark green card and a pair of berry stems from red card. Arrange these at the bottom of the die cut circles allowing some of the leaves to go under and some over the die cut Joy. Add a self adhesive crystal at the bottom of the circles where the foliage stems meet.

I really like the effect of the die cut section of the embossing folder, which adds an extra layer of interest. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it too.
