Hi everyone, I was asked a few weeks ago if we could stock more items that would appeal to teenagers. I started looking for suitable items and found that there isn’t much available. I did find this Game Controller die set and co-ordinating Level Up stamp set. They seemed perfect as they will appeal to boys and girls as well as young men and women. Of course as soon as they arrived I had to try them out 🙂

Hand made birthday card with playstation game controller.

To Make the Card

Trim down a 6 x 6 inch white blank card to 14cm square. Layer this with dark turquoise card and graph paper patterned paper. Swipe an anti-static pad over the top left hand area of the card, then stamp the sentiment in black ink. Sprinkle the stamped greeting with clear embossing powder and use a heat gun to set it. This adds shine and texture to the greeting, but it doesn’t show up very well in the photograph.

The die set has two sizes of game controller, use the bigger one and die cut it from black card. Use different sizes of adhesive enamel dots for the control buttons. Die cut the other buttons and the cross from matt silver card and adhere these with glue. Attach the game controller to the card using adhesive foam pads. Finish off the card by adding small clusters of different coloured enamel dots around the game controller.

I am happy with this card, it’s not too fussy but does have some colour. Any video game fan would be happy to receive it, I am sure. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like what you have seen. All the supplies used are listed below.
