Hi everyone, trying out more of our new stock to make this colourful thank you card. The butterfly is from a stamp and die set, the leafy panel is from a new set by Creative Expressions. Both produced excellent results.

Thank you card with colourful butterfly and die cut panel.

To Make the Card

Start with a white A6 blank card, then layer it with white hammered card. Take a piece of white card approx. 10cm x 14.5cm, ink it with Distress Oxide inks and foam blending tools to crea.te a colourful background. Use the leafy panel with the rectangular die and cut it from black card. Use the same rectangular die to cut a piece from the inked card. Glue leafy design over the inked panel. Stamp the butterfly in black ink on white card. Colour it with marker pens in the same shades as the inked background. Use the matching butterfly die to cut out the butterfly. Stamp the greeting in black ink on a strip of the inked card. Mount this on black card.

All the elements of the card are ready, now you just need to assemble it. Use double sided adhesive tape to adhere the panel to the left side of the card. Add a row of small adhesive crystals to the body of the butterfly. Add two layers of adhesive foam tape under each wing. This will lift the wings and prevent them from flattening even in the post. Add a piece of ultra strong DS tape to the body of the butterfly. Adhere the butterfly, at an angle, on the edge of the panel nearer the top. Use Imm adhesive foam pads to adhere the sentiment just below the butterfly. For the final touch add some more adhesive crystals, above and below the sentiment strip.

I love the vibrant colours with the black and white on this card, and the lovely leafy design on the die cut panel. I am very pleased with the results. Thank you for dropping in, I hope you like it too. All the supplies used are linked below.
