Hi everyone, here’s a fun card with a classic flying Santa and reindeer. Santa and his reindeer and the houses are from the brand new Spellbinders Silent Night die set, which has lots of other classic Christmas elements too.

To Make The Card

Start with a white 6″ x 6″ blank card. Take a piece of white card approx 14.5cm square and die cut a circular aperture from the centre. Emboss this piece with a snowfall embossing folder. Cut another slightly smaller piece of white card. Use the circle die to lightly pencil mark where the circle aperture will be. Cut a circle of card approx. 3.5cm, this will be a mask to make the moon. Adhere it in position using low tack tape. Use one of the hillside dies to cut a hillside mask and adhere this near the bottom of the circular area. Once the masks are in place, use a foam ink blending tool and distress inks to create the night sky. When you are happy with the colours, gently peel away the masks.

Die cut houses and trees from white card, stick small pieces of yellow card to the backs of the houses to look like lights in the windows. Cut Santa and his sleigh from dark blue card. Use two circle dies together to create a frame with a pattern of little stripes.

Assemble the card by adhering the coloured panel to the card front, with the embossed aperture panel over it. Glue the circular frame around the aperture. Arrange the trees and houses on the hillside and glue in place. Position Santa and his sleigh in the sky, crossing the moon and again glue into place. Finally add a die cut foiled sentiment to the bottom right corner of the frame.

A lovely card that is suitable for both adults and children. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like the card. All the supplies used are linked below.
