Hi, I am working on a summer theme at the moment, so had to include some bold blooms. Petal Trio is one of my favourite stamp sets because it is so versatile. I chose a warm orange colour scheme to add to the summery feel.

Hand made birthday card with stamped and heat embossed flowers and greeting.

To Make The Card

Start with a white 12.5cm square blank card and layer this with light green card 12cm square. Cut a piece of cream card 11.5cm square. Stamp the flower image diagonally across the top left hand area of the cream card with Versamark ink. Heat emboss with gold embossing powder. Stamp the flowers a second time on cream card, you only need the central flower so you can use a piece of card just big enough for that. Use Versamark ink again and heat emboss with gold. Use marker pens or pencils to colour the flower in shades of orange, then fussy cut it.

Ink the edges and corners of the cream panel with orange ink, and colour the leaves in green to match the card layering. Adhere the flower panel to the front of the card. Add the fussy cut flower over the outline, use foam pads to pop it up. Stamp the sentiment on cream card and heat emboss with gold. Cut the sentiment into a strip, ink around the edges with orange, and adhere to the bottom right hand corner of the card. Finish off with some yellow enamel dots.

I love the warm colours of this card, perfect for a summer birthday. I hope you like it too, thank you for visiting, all the products used are linked below.
