Hi here’s another summer themed card, with a beautiful die cut beach scene. The name of the die set is Beach Sunset so I decided to go with that and create a card with sunset

Hi here’s another summer themed card, with a beautiful die cut beach scene. The name of the die set is Beach Sunset so I decided to go with that and create a card with sunset colours.

To Make The Card

Start with a 6″ x 6″ blank white card and trim it down to 14.5cm square. Layer it with turquoise card. Die cut the background panel from black card and adhere over the turquoise layer. Use the circle die from the set to cut a circle of copper mirror card and adhere it to the centre of the black panel. Cut the beach scene and the circular frame together from black card.

Cut a circle of white card approx 7.5cm diameter, so that it fits behind the beach scene. Lightly mark where the waterline comes to. Ink the card with blue/turquoise inks from the waterline down and orange/red above it. Make it redder at the top turning more orange where it meets the water. Adhere the beach scene over the inked card, then adhere that and the circular frame over the mirror card circle.

Stamp the sentiment onto a strip of black card and heat emboss in copper, adhere this across the left side of the circular frame so that it sits just between the palm leaves and the clouds.

I really like this card, the sunset die looks great as a silhouette against the inked baclground and the copper mirror card adds to the overall feeling of warmth. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it too. All the products used are linked below.
