Hi, here’s a pretty Christmas card, with pale colours and a rustic feel with the kraft background. I used white embossing sprinkles for the snow effect but you could easily use white paint or ink instead, although that will give a flatter finish.

To Make The Card

Use a stitched square die to cut a piece of kraft card to 11.5cm. Stamp the Merry Christmas sentiment in the middle of the square with black ink. Scatter embossing sprinkles over the square, avoiding the stamped sentiment as much as possible. Carefully heat from underneath until all the sprinkles have melted. Leave it a couple of minutes for the embossing sprinkles to set then adhere to the front of a 12.5cm square kraft blank card.

Die cut different sizes of small poinsettia from pink card. I also cut some small solid flowers from the same die set and inked the edges of them with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide. Cut three leafy stems from pale green card. Arrange the flowers and leaves so that they form a circular wreath with the flowers overlapping. When you are happy with the arrangement, glue them in place. Finish off by adding natural self adhesive pearls to the centres of the flowers, where the centres are visible.

I am very happy with this card, I like the look of the pastel colours on the kraft background, and the simplicity of the kraft on kraft. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like the card too. If you would like to try it for yourself, all the products used are linked below.
