Hi, the last couple of Christmas cards that I made were quite dark and grungy, so I decided to make something completely different this time. I haven’t done any white on white yet this Christmas so decided to use that for the background and just add a little bit of pink and gold.

To Make The Card

As you can see from the photograph this is not a difficult or time consuming card to make but I will give the details here in case anything is not clear. Start with a white A6 blank card and trim the longest side to 14.5cm. Die cut a stitched rectangle of white card, 9.5cm x 13.5cm. Cut two Christmas trees from matt gold card, one from white card and two from pink card. Trim the trunks off the two pink trees. Arrange the trees on the stitched panel, towards the left side. Position them so that the colours alternate, they overlap and are at different heights. When you are happy with the layout, glue them in position, all except the top gold tree which need thin foam pads to lift it above the other trees.

Stamp the Merry Christmas sentiment in watermark ink in the bottom right had corner of the stitched panel and heat emboss in gold. Cut five stars in a variety of sizes from white card and adhere to the card front in the main white space and above the trees. Glue the stitched panel to the centre of the card front.

I think the colours of this card are very pretty, and as it doesn’t take too long to put together it’s an ideal design for last minute makes. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it too. All the products used are linked below.
