Hi, here’s a Fathers day card, perfect for any Dad who enjoys the odd beer or two. It’s a great card for slightly older children to give to their Dad. It could also be easily turned into a birthday card by just changing the sentiment.

To Make The Card

Start with a piece of dark yellow card stock sized 10cm x 14.25cm, die cut a section out of this in the bottom left hand corner. Cut a piece of dark blue card stock to the same size and adhere that behind the yellow so that it shows through the cut away area. Adhere this to the front of a white A6 blank card.

Stamp the beer glasses on white card with light grey ink, colour them with alcohol markers or your preferred colouring medium, then fussy cut. Die cut a 6.5cm circle with an inverted scallop edge from dark blue card, then another 7.5cm diameter from white card. Place the beer glasses on the dark blue circle and position the cheers stamp below them. Remove the beer glass and stamp the cheers in watermark ink, then heat emboss with silver. Glue the blue circle over the white circle and the beer glasses to the bus circle, then adhere the whole thing to the card front about two thirds of the way up.

Stamp the sentiment in blue ink on a strip of white card, cut the left end of the strip at an angle. Glue the strip onto blue card and trim to leave a narrow margin all round. Adhere the sentiment strip to the card near the bottom right hand corner with the straight edge level with the edge of the yellow panel. This is a great Fathers Day card, that does not take too long to make. I think it would also look good with black card in place of the dark blue. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it too.
