Hi here’s a very cute Father’s Day card which would be ideal for younger children to give to their Dad. This one was made for the father of twins, hence the reason for two young foxes, the number could easily be changed to suit the number of children involved. You could even add a few flowers etc. and change the sentiment to make it a Mothers Day card.
To Make The Card
Die cut a piece of dark orange card stock with a rectangular die with small stripes edging sized 16.5cm x 12.5cm. Trim a white 5″ x 7″ blank card to the same size and adhere the orange panel to the card front. Add a layer of black card, 15.8cm x 11.8cm. Cut a piece of watercolour card stock 15.3cm x 11.3cm, ink it with blue and green ink, roughly half and half to make a simple grass and sky background. Stamp a group of small trees to the right side of the background and a larger single tree to the left. Set the background aside to dry.
In the meantime die cut the parts for the foxes. Each fox needs to be cut three times, once from orange card, once from black and once from white, then assembled as shown. I used the same dark orange card as the backing layer for the big fox and a more peachy colour for the small foxes. Arrange the foxes on the background panel to find the best position for the sentiment, then stamp it in black ink. Ink a strip of watercolour card with the same greens as the background but just a bit darker. Die cut a small strip of grass edge from this, then cut the strip to make a couple of grassy tufts.
Finally put it all together, adhere the background panel to the card front, then add the foxes and lastly add the tufts of grass with tiny strips of adhesive foam pad so the tufts can overlap the foxes slightly.
