Hi Everyone, here’s a wedding card with a die cut silhouette bride and groom, in front of a large heart shape. I thought the pink inking of the heart shape worked well with the black silhouette. You could use any other colour and even match it to the colour scheme of the wedding.

To Make the Card

Start with a white 5 x 7 inch blank card, then cut a piece of white card about a 1/2 inch smaller. Use masking tape to tape together the scalloped and plain heart dies. Cut the heart shape from the white card positioned towards the top of the card. Lift the solid heart shape out but leave the scalloped frame inside the die cut shape. Cut another piece of white card big enough to go behind the cut out heart, approx 11.5cm square.

Use three shapes of pink ink to create an ombre effect on the card square. Have the lightest colour at the top working down to the darkest at the bottom. Adhere this inked card to the card blank so that it will show through the cut away heart shape. Adhere the white card with the cut away heart over the card front. Die cut the bride and groom from black card, then adhere to the card front over the heart, use small adhesive foam pads to lift them off the surface.

Stamp the wedding sentiment in black ink in the bottom right hand corner of the card. Finish off by decorating with self adhesive crystals.

This is quite an easy card to make but is very eye-catching with the simple colour scheme. I like the way it turned out and hope you do too. Thank you for visiting, all the products used are linked below.
