Hi everyone, here is a great card from our guest designer Garcia which would work equally well as either a man’s birthday card or a Father’s Day card. Perfect for anyone who loves to fire up a barbecue. The King of the Grill die set is a super 20 piece set with all the items you will find at a barbecue.

King of the grill, slimline, hand made barbecue birthday card.

To Make the Card

Start with a white DL size blank card and ink all around the edge with Fired Brick distress oxide ink. Take a piece of white card approximately 8cm x 19cm, tape the brick wall stencil in place over it. Ink over the stencil with Fired Brick, until the colour is quite deep. Remove the stencil and ink lightly all over, again with Fired Brick so that the areas between the bricks are a lighter shade of the same colour. Adhere the stencilled panel to the card front. Cut a piece of white card 9cm x 20cm and die cut the stitched rectangle apertures from it. Adhere this over the card front so that the brick shows through the apertures.

Die cut the barbecue with lid and flames, utensils, King of the Grill sentiment and an assortment of food and drink items from white card. Use marker pens to colour the various elements. Adhere the barbecue to the left side of the bottom aperture, add the flames and the lid at an angle. Adhere the utensils to the side of the barbecue. The sentiment can be glued to the right side of the centre aperture. Finally arrange the assortment of food and drink in the top aperture.

This is a great colourful card and is the perfect opportunity to practise your colouring skills. I am sure it would bring a smile to the face of any recipient. Thank you for reading, I hope you like the card. All the supplies are linked below.
