Hi everyone, here is number three in the snowfall mini series. This time the snow effect is created using 3D Pearl Accents in white. The Pearl Accents give a great 3D appearance and it is not difficult to create different sized dots.

To Make The Card

Start with an A6 white blank card and layer it with white textured card. Cut a piece of white card 6cm x 9cm and create a snowfall effect using 3D pearl accents. Set this aside to dry, I find it is best to leave it overnight to make sure it is completely dry. Die cut three Christmas trees from white card, along with some stars from the same die set.

Stamp the gnome with black ink, I used Memento Tuxedo Black as I wanted to use alcohol markers to colour him in. Colour the gnome and fussy cut him. Once cut, run a black marker pen around the cut edge to hide the white core of the card. Add lines of Fluffy Stuff to his beard, then heat until it puffs up to create a textured effect.

Stamped, fussy cut gnome with Fluffy Stuff beard for texture.

You can see the effect of the Fluffy Stuff in this close up photo. Colour the star at the top of the tree and the separate stars with a yellow marker pen to match the gnome’s shoes. Stamp the greeting in black on a strip of white card.

Once the Pearl Accents are completely dry, assemble the card. Adhere the snowfall panel to the centre of the card. Arrange the Christmas trees and adhere them with 1mm foam pads positioned between the pearl dots. Adhere the gnome with foam pads too. Glue the stars in place at the top of the card and again use foam pads to adhere the greeting at the bottom.

There you have it, another way to create a snowfall effect, along with a cute Christmas gnome. I hope you like it, thank you for calling in. All the supplies used are linked below.
