Hi everyone, here’s the fourth card in my snowfall mini series. The snowfall on this card was created using a Versamarker pen and embossing powder. The effect is a bit more subtle than some of the others as it doesn’t have such a 3D effect. I like the mixture of silver and white snow for a change.

Hand made Christmas card with die cut snowflakes and heat embossed snowfall background

To Make The Card

Start with a white 12.5cm square blank card and layer it with silver mirror card. Cut a piece of pink card 11.5cm square and die cut the large snowflake from white card. Position the snowflake in the centre of the pink card, then hold it in place whilst you add dots around it with a Versamarker pen. I found it best to do this I two halves so that the Versamark ink didn’t dry before I had chance to emboss it. When half the card is “dotted” sprinkle with silver embossing powder and heat emboss until set. Repeat this for the other half of the card. Now add more dots in between the silver ones again doing half the card first. This time heat emboss them with opaque white embossing powder. Repeat the process for the other half of the card.

Adhere the pink panel over the silver one and glue the large, white snowflake in the centre of it. Die cut a smaller snowflake from silver mirror card and glue this to the centre of the white snowflake. Stamp the sentiment onto a strip of white card and heat emboss with silver embossing powder. Use 1mm adhesive foam pads to adhere the sentiment across the centre of the snowflakes.

That’s all there is to it! A lovely Christmas card in pretty colours with subtle snowfall. I think it would look equally attractive with pale blue or turquoise card as well.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you like the card. All the supplies used are listed below.
