Hi, I don’t make many Easter cards but couldn’t resist making one with this cute bunny from the Sizzix Hello Spring die set. The card itself is easy to make and you could vary the colour scheme to suit whatever card stock you have to hand.
To Make The Card
Start with a white 5″ x 7″ blank card. Cut a piece of white card 4.75″ x 6.75″ and emboss it with the Twill Weave embossing folder. Adhere this to the card front. Use two circle dies together to cut a circle frame from gold mirror card. Adhere this to the card front slightly to the bottom left area of the card.
Die cut flowers from dark and light pink and pale yellow, layer them up to make one bigger flower and two smaller ones. Add a gold, adhesive metal gem to the centre of each flower. Cut the bunny twice once in light brown card and once in pale pink. Glue the pink dress, inner ears and nose to the brown rabbit. Use a black marker pen to colour one of the pairs of eyes. This is quite fiddly as they are extremely small but can be done. Put a tiny dot of glue on each eye and position them on the bunny’s face. Cut green leaf stems from the Hello Spring die set. Arrange the leaf stems and flowers on the edge of the gold frame and glue in place. Position the bunny inside the circle just above the flowers and again glue into place.
Stamp the Happy Easter sentiment onto dark pink card and heat emboss in white. Trim the card to a strip and cut a diagonal at the right hand end. Glue this so that it is tucked under some of the flowers and leaves and overlaps the opposite edge of the gold frame. That’s all there is to it!
