Hi here’s a lovely Christmas card, that’s not at all difficult to make but looks great. I used three different stamp sets for the foliage and berries, you could use whatever you have in your stash. I hope you can see in the photo that the bottom layer of the sentiment is gold glitter card to add a bit of sparkle.

To Make The Card

Stamp the greeting in red ink on white card cut to 12.5cm x 2.5cm, layer this on to red card then gold glitter card. Keep all the layers 12.5cm wide so the layers are only visible above and below the sentiment. Take a 5″ x 7″ white, blank card and trim it to 12.5cm x 17.5cm. Position the sentiment strip on the card. but don’t stick it down. Mark lightly with a pencil where the sentiment strip will be as a guide for where to stamp the foliage.

Stamp pine branches, berry clusters, and leafy stems in dark green, light green gold and red. Use the markings as a guide so that the ends of the stems will all be under the sentiment strip. Overlap the stamps and fill the areas above and below the sentiment strip. Once all the ink is dry, gently rub out the pencil guide lines.

That’s all there is to it! I wondered about adding some adhesive pearls or crystals between some of the stamped leaves but decided I liked it the way it is in the end.

I like the effect of all the stamped foliage coming from under the sentiment strip and the gold glitter card and gold ink add just enough sparkle and shine. I hope you like it too, thank you for visiting. All the products used are listed below.
