Hi, here’s another quick and easy Christmas card. I have seen quite a few cards around that have simple score lines as decoration so decided to give it a try myself. A lovely die cut poinsettia looks great against the white on white background.

To Make The Card

Start with a 12.5cm square white blank card. Add a layer of white card 12cm square. Cut two strips of white card to 3cm x 12cm, score each piece at half centimetre intervals. Adhere one scored strip vertically 3cm in from the left side of the card and the other, horizontally 3cm down from the top. Die cut two stitched squares from white card, one 5.5cm sq and the other 4.5cm sq. Adhere these on top of one another and then adhere to the point where the two scored strips cross over.

Use the next to smallest poinsettia die and cut one from red card and one from green. Cut another smaller poinsettia flower from red card. Curl the petals of the red flowers slightly to add more dimension, but leave the green layer flat. Glue the three layers on top of one another, with each layer of petals offset, to create the flower. Add three small gold adhesive pearls to the centre of the flower. Add a gold peel off Merry Christmas sentiment to the bottom right hand section of the card.

Although it is a quick and easy card, as you can see from the short description, it ticks all the boxes for colour, texture, dimension and bling. I am very pleased with it, I hope you like it too. Thank you for your interest, all the products used are linked below.
